SURVIVAL TRAINING

National Alert Security provides instruction and training on Survival, Primitive Skills, Self Reliance, and Emergency Preparedness. We provide a highly trained staff, with extensive field experience.

Our Lead Survival Instructor, has 21 years of service with the Chilean Marines professional survival experience. He is the creator of the Survival and Primitive Skills School down in Chile in 2005. Walter is a Military Professor of S.E.R.E., (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) and has created and updated teaching programs for the Chilean Polytechnic Naval Academy.

He has taught students with different profiles, including civilians and Special Forces. His experience, having operated in different kinds of weather and environments, in addition to his certifications, gives him a solid base of knowledge and ability to teach.

OUR COURSES AND ACTIVITIES

Duration: Up to 48 hours
Place: To be confirmed
Entry Conduct: No prior knowledge required.
Number of students: Minimum 5, Maximum 20.
Objective of the course: To provide the necessary knowledge and skills, to be able to face the first moments in the field and to keep in good conditions applying survival techniques.
The general purpose is to create the conditions to be located and rescued in the shortest possible time, that is, to constitute your “First Response”

Methodology:
Theoretical-practical classes in the field, executing a period of directed survival, without living in full of what you get in the middle.

Main topics:

  • Survival basics. (Fundamentals and Theory)
  • Use of anthropometric measures.
  • Resources order and rationing.
  • Gear selection and preparation.
  • Remote areas First Aid.
  • Cutting tools. (safe use)
  • Fire ignition / prepare efficiently and maintain safe fires.
  • Emergency shelters.
  • Water sourcing.
  • Basic knots (03).
  • Basic primtive land orientation. (without instruments)
  • Emergency and rescue signaling.

Conduct of entry: Survival 1 or be confident in their previous experience and knowledge in accordance with the required level, as it will NOT address the basic topics or techniques associated with that level, assuming that the student has mastery of them, the contrary is exposed not to approve the course.
Number of students: Minimum 5, Maximum 20.
Objective of the course: To provide the necessary knowledge and skills to survive on the ground, obtaining from it the essential elements to a survival situation, moving to safe areas and creating the conditions to return to civilization. The general purpose is to work in nature safely and “proactively” using “bushcraft”; techniques and primitive skills.
Methodology:
Theoretical-practical classes in the field, executing a period of directed survival, living partially of what it obtains from the nature.

  • Advanced shelters.
  • Fire with special elements.
  • Primitive and semi-primitive fire. (two methods)
  • Improvised tools.
  • Natural cordage.
  • Traps techniques.
  • Signs of animal presence.
  • Food from animals (depending on the place)
  • Kill and cook a prey.
  • Special water sourcing.
  • Plants resources.
  • Land navigation using maps and instruments.
  • On water basic survival.
  • Natural obstacles crossing.
  • Use of ropes.
